An IEP is an individual education program uniquely designed to meet the needs of individual students who require special services, classroom modifications or accommodations to be successful at GES. Students who are placed on IEPs meet two or more of the following qualifications:
- Student is diagnosed with a disability that affects her/his learning.
- Student has been referred by a teacher or school personnel due to lack of progress in academic content.
- Student has been referred by a teacher or school personnel due to lack of progress in behavior management.
- Student has been referred by a teacher or school personnel due to lack of social development in accordance with their age.
- Student has been retained in current grade level for any reason.
